Passionate about creating lasting, positive impact, Michaela is driven by a commitment to enhancing Northland’s communities. She combines strategic planning knowledge with hands-on project execution skills and is highly effective at engaging with diverse stakeholders. Michaela brings a thorough understanding of council systems and processes having managed the Long-Term Plan (LTP) process at Kaipara District Council for five years. 

Known for her excellent organisational abilities and collaborative approach, Michaela thrives on problem solving and is highly effective at managing the programme of work within budget constraints. Clear communication and active listening are key strengths, helping her build strong relationships and ensure project goals align with community needs.

Through meaningful engagement and thoughtful planning, Michaela contributes to projects that support long-term wellbeing and access to essential community amenities. Recent work includes the successful delivery of public infrastructure projects such as the Takahiwai sports field and lighting upgrades (Whangarei District), and public toilet improvements (Kaipara District). One highlight involved working closely with both community groups and Council to upgrade an aging netball facility, including the installation of new lighting to support safe, after-hours use.
